Submitted by: Kent Robarge 10 December 2007 **************************************************************************************************************************** Obituary of Lawrence Penzkover in Wed., Nov. 18, 1953 Rice Lake Chronotype (Rice Lake, Barron Co., WI) Lawrence Penzkover Funeral services for Lawrence Penzkover, 69, a retired conductor for the Chicago & North Western railroad, were held at St. Joseph's church this Wednesday morning with Msgr. Peter F. Meyer officiating. Burial was made in Our Lady of Lourdes church cemetery at Dobie. Mr. Penzkover, who lived at 1020 Nunn av., died Saturday at a local hospital after a lingering illness. He was born at Dobie March 25, 1884, and was a lifelong resident of this vicinity. He was wed to Lena Enders, who survives. Also surviving are a son Joseph of Rice Lake and a daughter, Mrs. Richard Mickelson of Belle Fourche, S.D. and a brother, Paul of Cameron, and three grandchildren. Mr. Penzkover had been a member of the Moose lodge and of the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen. A rosary service was held Monday night at the Schneider-Mason funeral home.
