PUHL, William William Puhl 68, of Haugen, died Monday, Nov. 25, as a result of a hunting accident. Funeral services were held Friday, Nov. 29, at ten o"clock at the Holy Trinity church at Haugen with the Rev. Benedict Baurer officiating. Burial was in the Haugen cemetery. Pallbearers were Ed Kolar, Ed Kinnick, Henry Heinze, Hugo Heinze, Matt Konop, Joe Konop, J.P. Schneider & Son had charge of the arrangements. Mr. Puhl was born Sept. 17, 1878 at LaCrosse. He came to Haugen at the age of 22. He married Mary Konop Oct. 18, 1904 at Haugen and they lived on a farm east of Haugen until the fall of 1945. Two brothers and one sister preceded him in death. Survivors are his wife Mary and 14 children, Charles, Victor, George and Leonard of Toledo, Ohio, Rudy of Houston, Texas, Mrs. Clarence (Leona) Trost of West Chicago, Ill, Mrs. Wyville (Helen) Millar of San Francisco, Mrs. William (Marian) Thies and Mrs. Marvin (Loretta) Thies of Chicago, Evelyn of Fresno, Cal, Mrs. Murray (Dolores) Eisner and Rainelda of San Francisco, Mrs. Bohumil (Beatrice) Uchytil and Mrs. George (Vivian) Mlejnek of Rice Lake, 19 Grandchildren; two brothers, Louie of Haugen and Frank of Montana. Those from out of town at the funeral were Mrs. Anna Puhl of Minneapolis, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Puhl, Mr. and Mrs. Victor Puhl and Mr. and Mrs. Ed Giese of Duluth, Mr. and Mrs. John Konop of Superier, Mrs. Emma Urbanek of Eau Claire, Mr. and Mrs. Art Berschneider of Spooner, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Leitritz of Shell Lake, Mr. and Mrs. Iral Cook of Cumberland, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Konop of Rice Lake, Miss Irene Konop of Milwaukee, and Mrs. Bertha Cipra of Sarona. All of the children with the exception of Mrs. Murray Eisner of San Francisco were able to attend the funeral.
