Submitted by: Kent Robarge 03 August 2007 ************************************************************************ Obituary of Agnes Raawe in Wed, June 4, 1958 Rice Lake Chronotype (Rice Lake, Barron County, WI) Miss Agnes Raawe To Be Buried Friday Miss Agnes Raawe, 57, a lifelong resident of the town of Stanley, died Tuesday at a Rice Lake hospital after being in poor health for several years. She broke her hip a month ago and had been hospitalized since. Funeral services will be held at the First Lutheran church in Rice Lake at 2 p.m. Friday with Rev. Martin Rose officiating. Burial will be in Meadow Creek cemetery. Friends may call at the Hyllengren funeral home. Born Agnes Hedwig Anna Raawe in the town of Stanley on Aug. 4, 1900, she was one of eight children of Carl and Bertha Raawe. She had made her home with her brother, Arnold, at the family farm on Rt. 1, Cameron. Miss Raawe was a lifelong member of the First Lutheran church and was active in its Ladies Aid. She taught Sunday school for many years. Surviving in addition to Arnold are two older brothers, Herman of Rt. 1, Cameron and Alvin of Colfax and a sister Mrs. Albert Stilley of Bloomer.
