Raawe in July 4, 1990 Rice Lake Chronotype (Rice Lake, Barron Co., WI) Alfred H. Raawe Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at First Lutheran Church in Rice Lake for Alfred H. Raawe, 67, of Rice Lake, who died Monday at his home. Rev. John Sandstrom will officiate and burial will follow in Meadow Creek Cemetery in the Town of Stanley. Visitation will be this Thursday from 3-9 p.m. and Friday from 9-11 a.m. at the Jarocki Funeral Home in Rice Lake. Visitation will also be on Friday at the church from 1 p.m. until the time of service. Mr. Raawe was born Feb. 20, 1923 in the Town of Stanley, and graduated from Rice Lake High School in 1941. He then farmed with his father in the Town of Stanley, later becoming the sole proprietor of the farm. He gradually changed from dairr and hog farming into raising beef cattle, which he continued to do until 1989. Mr. Raawe planned and developed the Wooden Vista housing area in the Town of Stanley. He served in various positions on the church board at First Lutheran Church, and served as co-chairman of its centennial committee in 1989. He also servedon the Meadow Creek and Rice Lake School Boards. He moved into his retirement home in the Wooden Vista development area in 1986. Mr. Raawe is survived by two sisters, Dorothy Raawe of Franklin and Irene Raawe of Rice Lake.
