Robarge (son of George and Josephine Couture, husband of Adele Rose Demers) Rice Lake Chronotype February 5, 1941 obituary (Rice Lake, Barron County, WI) "Alex J. Robarge, 84, a resident of Barron 60 years, died at his home Sunday. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Lourdes church with the Rev. Joseph Mayou officiating. Burial was in the family lot at Dobie. J.P. Schneider & Son had charge of funeral arrangements. Mr. Robarge is survived by an even 100 direct descendants who include 11 children, 67 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. Mr. Robarge married Adele DeMers Nov. 23, 1880 and settled on a homestead where he lived the remainder of his life. Surviving are four sons, Adelord, Canada; Frank, Milwaukee; John, Rice Lake; and Napolean; seven daughters, Mrs. Thomas (Olive) Donnelly, Canada; Mrs. Wm. (Alexanderine) Retrund, Whitewater, Wis.; Mrs. Peter (Rose) Schieffer, Milwaukee; Mrs. Eugene (Eva) DeMers, this city; Mrs. James (Emilda) Haughian, Canada; Mrs. Wm. (Mina) Samdland, Duluth; and Mrs. Harmon (Josephine) Martindale, St. Francis, Wis.; one brother, Lawrence Robarge, this city; 67 grandchildren, and 22 great grandchildren."
