Submitted by: Kent Robarge 03 August 2007 ************************************************************************ Obituary of Jennie (Beylund) Robarge in Sat, Nov 13, 1965 Chippewa Herald Telegram (Chippewa Falls, Chippewa County, WI) Mrs. William Robarge Mrs. William (Jeannie M.) Robarge, 83, 619 West Willow Street, city, died at 3:30 o'clock Friday afternoon at the Eau Claire Manor. Mrs. Robarge was born in Svartvik, Sweden and came to the United States at the age of 12 years with her parents. They settled in Rice Lake where Mrs. Robarge attended school, and in 1901 was married to William Robarge. They moved to Chippewa Falls shortly after their marriage and lived here since. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Arthur Krager, Mason City, Iowa; Mrs. Neil Drake, Centralia, Ill., and Capt. Dorothy Robarge, Selfridge AFB, Mt. Clements, Mich., a son, Royce, Long Meadow, Mass., two sisters Mrs. Glen Hartel and Mrs. Francis Amundson, both of Rice Lake; two brothers, Oscar Beylund, Palmer, Alaska; and John of Duluth; nine grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Her husband and one son, Warren preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at two o'clock from the Hogseth-Pederson Funeral Chapel with Rev. Gordon B. Meyer, of the First Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from two p.m. Sunday until the time of services. Mrs. Robarge was active in the U.C.T. Auxiliary, the Elks Ladies and the Chippewa Falls Woman's Club.
