Submitted by: Kent Robarge 03 August 2007 ************************************************************************ Obituary of Octave Robarge in Wed, Jan 22, 1930 Rice Lake Chronotype (Rice Lake, Barron County, WI) Octave Robarge Octave Robarge died at his home in Iron Mountain, Mich., January 16, at the age of 68, from cancer of the bladder. he was born, June 9, 1861 in Canada and at the age of 8 moved with his parents to Rice Lake, where later, he drove a tote team for the Knapp Stout Co. In 1882 he married Miss Philomen Hayes. Twelve years ago, the family moved to Rhinelander, where they lived for six years and then moved to Iron Mountain, where they have since made their home. Surviving are: his wife, Mrs. Philomen Robarge, three sons and three daughters, Felix, Eau Claire, Henry, Ladysmith, Paul, Los Angeles, Mrs. Morris (Minnie) Beaudrie, Mobile, Ala., Mrs. Ben (Eva) Thompson, Iron Mountain, and Mrs. Walter (Lizzie) Marsh, Duluth. Funeral services were held at the St. Joseph's church Saturday morning with Rev. A.J. van Helden officiating and interment took place at the St. Joseph cemetery.
