Robarge in Mon, Feb 11, 1952 Eau Claire Daily Telegram (Eau Claire, Eau Claire County, WI) Former Soo Line Ticket Agent Dies at Chippewa Falls CHIPPEWA FALLS (Special) -- William J. Robarge, 71, Soo Line ticket agent and operator for 43 years here died suddenly at his home Friday night. He moved here with his wife in 1902 to take the railroad post and retired Sept. 4, 1945. Mr. Robarge was an expert boat builder and amateur carpenter and spent much of his time in pursuit of these hobbies after his retirement. He was a member of the United Commercial Travelers for 20 years and also belonged to the Equitable Reserve Association. Mr. and Mrs. Robarge observed their golden wedding anniversary on Oct. 1, 1951. He was born Sept. 4, 1880 in Rice Lake and married Miss Jennifer Beylund there Oct. 1, 1901. Funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. Allen S. Van Cleve at the Hogseth Funeral Chapel at 2 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, three daughters, Mrs. Arthur Krager, Mason City, Ia., Mrs. Neil Drake, St. Louis; Miss Dorothy Robarge, Santa Barbara, Calif.; two sons, Royce, Long Meadow, Mass., Warren, Chippewa Falls; one brother, Edward, Rice Lake; and nine grandchildren.
