This file was contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives by: Kent Robarge 19 February 2001 ==================================================================== George Robarge (son of George and Josephine Couture, husband of Emma Belland) Rice Lake Chronotype May 10, 1933 Obituary (Rice Lake, Barron County, WI) "George Robarge, for the past 66 years a resident of the vicinity of Rice Lake and Dobie, died Friday at the Wisconsin General hospital in Madison following a lingering illness. J.P. Schneider brought the body back to Rice Lake. Mr. Robarge was born in Canada, April 22, 1864, and came to Dobie when three years of age. He lived in this section until the time of his death. He was united in marriage at Dobie to Miss Emma Belland, who died three years ago. Twelve children were born, eight of whom survive. The four sons are Lawrence of Rice Lake, Felix, Adolph and Arthur of Route 3, and four daughters, (Victoria) Mrs. Floyd Whitney of Barron (Annie) Mrs. Fred Forrest of Anacortes, Wash., (Irene) Mrs. Ned Digidio of St. Paul, and (Josephine) Mrs. Melvin Whittaker of Donald, Wis. One Sister, Mrs. Peter Demers of Rice Lake, 20 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren survive. Funeral services were held Monday morning at St. Joseph's Catholic church, the Rev. Father B. Niggeman officiating. Interment was in the St. Joseph's cemetery here."
