Gideon Robarge was born near Rice Lake, July 14, 1874, and died at his home on Cornell Ave., Friday morning, Jan. 29, after a severe attack of pneumonia. He is survived by his wife and three children, four brothers and four sisters. The brothers are Ed. and Fred Robarge of this city, William of Chippewa Falls and Octave of Ironwood, Mich. The sisters are Mrs. L. Lavier and Mrs. Thos. Hanson of Rice Lake, Mrs. Lizzie Perry of Park Falls and Mrs. Lucy Verhoeven of Maryana, Kansas. He was twice married. His first marriage was with Martha Pratte, from whom he was divorced many years ago. Two children survive from this union, Idola and Otis, both of Black River Falls, who were present at the funeral. His second marriage was in 1916, to Mrs. Edith Geary, a widow. One son was born to this union, Ronald, 10 years old, who survives. The funeral survives were held on Monday, Jan. 31, at the Church of the Brethren, Rev. A.S. Brubaker officiating. Interment was in Nora cemetery."
