Robarge) Rice Lake Chronotype March 20, 1929 obituary (Rice Lake, Barron County, WI) "Mrs. Minnie Robarge. Mrs. Minnie Robarge, aged 64, passed away at her home on Newton street Saturday, March 16. Her husband, Louis Robarge, died a short time ago. The remains were taken to Portage, Wis., for burial Wednesday. A brief service was held at the home Monday morning. A more extended notice will appear next week." Rice Lake Chronotype March 27, 1919 "Mrs. Minnie Robarge. Mrs. Minnie Robarge died Saturday evening, March 16, at the age of 65 years, at her home at 125 W. Newton street. She had been in failing health the last few months. She was born in Germany in 1864 and came to this country with her parents when about 3 years of age. They settled in Columbia County, Wisconsin, where she grew to girlhood. In 1889 she was married to Joe Robarge, who died in 1900. To this union three children were born: Charles, who died in infancy, Marie (Mrs. Stanley Robbins) of Glidden, Wis., and Clifford of Minneapolis. Mrs. Robarge was married to her second husband, Louis G. Robarge, at Rice Lake in 1904 and to this union one son was born, Raymond E. Robarge of this city. Mrs. Robarge was a member of the Women's Catholic Order of Foresters and of St. Joseph's church, a good Christian, always serving others, without stint, a loving mother and kind neighbor. She leaves to mourn her death one daughter, Mrs. Stanley Robbins of Glidden, two sons, Clifford J. Robarge of Minneapolis, and Raymond E. Robarge of Rice Lake; one sister, Mrs. Anna Smith of Portage, Wis., and one brother, Charles Smith of Pardeeville, Wis., and six step-children. The funeral was held at St. Joseph's church March 18, Rev. A.J. Van Helden officiating, and burial was at Portage, Wis., March 20, from the home of her sister, Mrs. Smith, six nephews of the deceased acting as pallbearers and Rev. Fr. J.B. Piette officiating. Out of town people present for the funeral were Clifford Robarge, Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Robbins, Mrs. Anna Smith, Mrs. A.C. Robarge of St. Paul and Louis L. Robarge from Ladysmith." "Card of Thanks.
