Submitted by: Kent Robarge 28 September 2003 ************************************************************************ Obituary of Arlene (Dzuibek) Roux in July 30, 2003 Rice Lake Chronotype (Rice Lake, Barron County, WI) Arlene Roux Sept. 9, 1931-July 23, 2003 Arlene M. Roux, 71, of Rice Lake died July 23 at her home. Funeral services are Saturday at 1 p.m. at Appleyard's Home for Funerals in Rice Lake, with the Rev. Jeff Vesta officiating. Visitation is Saturday at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the service. Mrs. Roux was born Sept. 9, 1931 in Milwaukee to Steven and Anna Dzuibek. She graduated from Pulaski High School in 1949 and then earned a teaching certificate in ceramics. She married Raymond Roux on Oct. 27, 1951 at Milwaukee. Mrs. Roux worked for Cutler-Hammer Electronic and taught ceramics in the Milwaukee area for many years. The couple owned and operated Roux's Ridgeview Resort in Edgewater from 1972-1997. Mrs. Roux moved to Rice Lake in 1989. She loved ceramics and sewing. She is survived by a daughter, Renae Roux; and a son, Bruce, both of Rice Lake; a sister, Evelyn Sperka of Milwaukee; a brother, Irv Watts of Milwaukee; and adopted daughter, Carol D'Olivio of Birchwood; and an adopted granddaughter.
