Submitted by: Kent Robarge 03 August 2007 ************************************************************************ Obituary of Maurice Roux in Wed, Mar 17, 1926 Rice Lake Chronotype (Rice Lake, Barron Co., WI) Maurice Roux Maurice Roux, son of Jeffry Roux of Dobie, died of Bright's disease at the home of his father Saturday morning, March 13. Had he lived two days longer he would have been 33 years of age. Maurice was born on the home farm and grew to manhood there, receiving his schooling at the Dobie school. After leaving school he worked for a mining company at Hibbing, Minn. About six years ago he was married to Miss Emily Amans, also of Dobie. After his married he worked about 3 years longer at Hibbing, then moved to Minneapolis where he conducted a small grocery store until he had to give it up on account of failing health. He then moved to the southern part of the state where he resided until a short time ago, when he returned to the home farm, where his death occurred. He leaves his wife and one daughter, Geraldine, 5 years of age, besides his father, stepmother and other relatives. In the long illness from which he suffered hew as patient and was held in high respect by all who knew him. The funeral services were held at the church in Dobie Saturday morning (his birthday), Rev. Fr. Gleisner officiating.
