Submitted by: Kent Robarge 10 December 2007 **************************************************************************************************************************** Obituary of William Roux in Sat., May 14, 1960 Eau Claire Daily Telegram (Eau Claire, Eau Claire Co., WI) Roux Funeral to Be Held Tuesday Funeral services for William Roux, 73, of 2009 Valmont Ave., who died Friday at Sacred Heart hospital, will be held Tuesday at 9 a.m. at the Golden Funeral Home and at 9:30 at Immaculate Conception Church. The Rev. Daniel J. O'Reilly will officiate, and burial will be in Forest Hill cemetery. Mr. Roux was an engineer on the North Western railroad for 47 years prior to his retirement in 1957. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. James Culbert and Mrs. Louella Grill of Eau Claire and Mrs. Kenneth Dorff of Toms River, N.J., three sisters, Mrs. Laura Forrest of Los Angeles, Mrs. Anna Popple of Cornell and Mrs. James O'Brien of Barron; four brothers, Fred, Louie, Emil and Leslie of Rice Lake, and his stepmother, Mrs. Celestine Boehmer of Rice Lake. Friends may call at the funeral home Monday afternoon and evening. The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Monday. note: 1900 Federal Census shows name as Wilfred with April 1888 birthdate, son of Jeffery Roux.
