Submitted by: Kent Robarge 03 August 2007 ************************************************************************ Obituary of Malvina (Demers) Secore in Wed, July 17, 1929 Rice Lake Chronotype (Rice Lake, Barron Co., WI) Mrs. Malvina Demars Secore Mrs. Malvina Demars Secore, daughter of Frederic Demars, was born at St. Nicholas, Quebec, Canada, April 14, 1852. She came with her parents to Rice Lake in 1869, traveling from Chippewa Falls in a stage coach. April 4, 1872, she married Joseph Secore and they settled on a homestead three miles east of Rice Lake. To this union nine children were born, two of whom died in infancy. Mr. Secore died Aug. 3, 1923. Mrs. Secore died July 11, 1929, and is survived by seven children: Emma (Mrs. Wm. Ryne), Felix, Louise (Mrs. Joe Amans), and Frank of Rice Lake; Dolph of Detroit, Mich., John of Hibbing, Minn., and Alex of Detroit; 26 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday at 9:30 a.m., at St. Joseph's church, Rev. A.J. Van Helden officiating.
