Submitted by: Kent Robarge 10 December 2007 **************************************************************************************************************************** Obituary of Cecilia (Crotteau) [Heldstab] Severson in March 24, 1993 Rice Lake Chronotype (Rice Lake, Barron Co., WI) Cecelia Severson Cecelia Heldstab Severson, 69, of Rice Lake died Sunday at her sister Edna Crotteau's home. Funeral services were held Wednesday morning at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Revs. Brendan Kunda and Allan Bradley officiating and interment in the church cemetery. The former Cecelia Crotteau was born Feb. 18, 1924 to Eliza and Henry Crotteau in Rice Lake Township. She married Lloyd Heldstab on Nov. 6, 1945 in Rice Lake. They farmed in Rice Lake Township until his death in 1957. She later married Sylvester Severson on June 25, 1977. Mrs. Severson was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Altar Society, the Women of the Moose, the Elk's Ladies, the Ladies Golf Assoc., Ladies Bowling League, and the Hospital Auxiliary at Lakeview Medical center. She is survived by her husband, Sylvester of Rice Lake; three daughters, Shirley Klopotek of Amery, Beverly Overbey of Apple Valley, Minn., and Debra Schieffer of Rice Lake; a son, James Heldstab of Rice Lake; a stepdaughter, Juanita Peterson of Rice Lake; four sisters, Lucille Saffert, Edna Crotteau and Bernice Saffert, all of Rice Lake, and Mary Jane McGarvey of Sparta; five brothers, Lloyd, Raymond and Robert Crotteau all of Rice Lake, Norman Crotteau of Casper, Wyo., and Henry Crotteau, Jr. of Sioux Falls, S.D.; four grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; and five step great-grandchildren.
