Submitted by: Barbara Horn 03 June 2004 ************************************************************************ Barron County News Shield, Barron, WI - 22 Jan 1948 page 5 col 4 - obituary Mrs Johanna Solberg Mrs Johanna Saglin Solberg was born in Norway, May 22, 1871, and came to the United States with her parents at the age of 10 years. She made her home near Dallas. In 1891 she married Iver Solberg. To this union nine children were born. She died at her home east of Cameron on Jan 10. Surviving are her husband, Iver Solberg, five sons and four daughters, Lewis of Upham, ND, Jalmer and John of Cameron, Malcolm of Rice Lake, Rt 4, Mrs Ida Johnson of Eau Claire, Mrs Hans Landsworth and Mrs Harold Tabor of Barron, Mrs Lee Anderson and Alfred at home; 18 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; two brothers and two sisters. Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan 17, at 1:30 at the Burton funerl home and at 2 pm at the Faaberg church, Rev Skaar officiating. Six grandsons were pallbearers.
