Submitted by: Barbara Horn 03 June 2004 ************************************************************************ Barron County News Shield, Barron, WI - 7 Jun 1967 page 4 col 6 - obituary Albin Severud Albin Severud, 72, of Dallas, died Monday, June 5, at the Good Samaritan Home at Dallas after a long illness. A lifelong resident of the town of Maple Grove, he was born May 18, 1895, and was married June 8, 1925 to Evelyn Johnson, who died April 19, 1958. Mr Severud was a farmer and a carpenter. A veteran of World War I, he served on four fronts in Europe and was awarded the Silver Star. Surviving are two sons, Daniel of Dallas and Ole of Chetek; four daughers, Mrs George (Ruth Elaine) of Dawson Springs, Ky; Jean of Dallas; Mrs Raymond (Carol) Mullen of Bloomer and Mrs Wallace (Avis) Carlson of Minneapolis; 15 grandchildren; one great grandchild; two brothers, Oscar of Hillsdale and Clifford of Minneapolis; and three sisters, Mrs Anna Raberge of Minneapolis, Mrs James (Tilda) Cardiff of Dallas and Mrs Charles (Ella) Peterson of Rice Lake. Services were held today (Wednesday) at the Dallas Lutheran church with Rev Lyle J Ness officiating. Buria was in New Scandinavia church cemetery with Miller Funeral Home in charge.
