Submitted by: Kent Robarge 03 August 2007 ************************************************************************ Obituary of Julia (Frolik) Van Helden in Wed., July 5, 1961 Rice Lake Chronotype (Rice Lake, Barron Co., WI) Julia Van Helden Funeral Services Held On Tuesday Mrs. Julia VanHelden, 72, a long time resident of the Brill area died at a local hospital Saturday night following a lengthy illness. Funeral services were held Tuesday morning from Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic church at Dobie, with Rev. Benedict Bauer officiating and burial was made in the church cemetery. Mrs. Van Helden, nee Frolik, was born Feb. 10, 1889 at Manitowoc, Wis., and came to Barron county with her parents as a child. Her husband, James Van Helden, preceded her in death some years ago. She is survived by six sons: Francis of Rice Lake, George and Henry of Eau Claire, Al and Harold of Rockford, Ill., and John of Libby, Mont., and three daughters, Mrs. Alice Bartes and Mrs. Laura Kodesh of Rice Lake and Mrs. Josephine Blecker of Rockford. There are also four sisters, Mrs. Mary Wuda and Mrs. Barbara Steele of Montana and Mrs. Anna Schliess and Mrs. Elizabeth Dvorak of Rice Lake, and four brothers, Joe, Frank, Anton and Louis Frolik all of Rice Lake, besides 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
