L. BOYNTON, nee Nina BRIGGS, died at her home in Washburn, Wis., Wednesday morning, April 22, with smallpox and was buried this (Thursday) morning at 7 o'clock. Mrs. BOYNTON was born at Briggsville, Marquette County, Nov. 23, 1869, and came with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl BRIGGS, to Grand Rapids about four years later, making her home here for about 18 years. She graduated from the Howe High School with the class of '86, and for several years, taught in Wood County schools. She was married to Orville BOYNTON of Pittsville about twelve years ago and resided there until they moved north about four years ago, where Mr. BOYNTON holds a position as superintendent of the HINES Lumber Co. She leaves beside her husband, two children, a boy and a girl, aged about eleven and nine years. Mrs. Eva BRIGGS, her mother, has been making her home with Mrs. BOYNTON. Nina BRIGGS was always a popular girl among her school mates and a large circle of friends in this city, and her untimely death will be sincerely regretted by many friends in this county. Orville Boynton and Nina Briggs were married Oct. 6, 1891, and their marriage certificate is recorded in Wood Co. WI Marriages volume II, Page 31
