published by the Western Historical Co.: 1879.

JOHN LENSING, farmer, Sec. 3; P. O. Burlington; born in Westphalia,
Germany, Nov., 1821; married, in Germany, in April, 1846, Mrs. Johanna
Stahl, who was born in Germany in 1821; they came to Wisconsin in Aug.,
1846, bought a farm, and located in the same place where he is now
living and working; they had two children, one living-- Mary, born in
1858. Mr. Lensing has led an industrious, active life; by practicing
strict economy, he bas amassed a fine property; he now owns eighty acres
of land in Sec. 3, on the Burlington and Kenosha road - members of the,
Burlington Roman Catholic Church.
