published by the Western Historical Co.: 1879.

JOHN PRASCH, farmer, Sec. 31; P. O., Burlington; born in Bairan,
Unterfranken und Aschaffenburg, Germany, in 1822; came to Walworth Co.
in 1844, and bought 120 acres of land in Walworth Co. of the Government;
he built a log-cabin first, afterward a frame house, and remained there
till 1869. He married, while living there, in 1848, in Burlington St.
Mary's Catholic Church, Barbara Meyer; they have eleven children- all
living Adam, Francis, John, Joseph, Philip, Mary, Anthony, Charles,
William, Lizzie and Barbara. In 1869, he sold his property in Walworth
Co., and moved to Burlington, and bought 273 acres in Sections 31 and
32, with large stone residence, and all the improvements, where he now
resides with his family.
