HERMAN SIEHOFF farmer, Sec. 2; P. O. Burlington; born in Westphalia, Germany, April, 1827; came to Wisconsin in 1846 ; located in Wheatland Township, and worked at farming; in 1852 be removed to Burlington Township and entered into partnership with his brother Anthony, they farming it together on Section 23: in 1861 they separated, Herman having bought a farm in Section 15, and commenced for himself; in 1865 he removed to Section 2 and bought thirt six acres of land, where he is now living, within one mile of Burlington; he still owns the 120 acres in Section 15- added to his farm, owns altogether 156 acres in two farms, well improved; married in Burlington, in 1865, Miss Mary Bofenkamp, who was born in Germany in 1845; they have six children - Henry, born October, 1866; Anthony, September, 1868; Gerhardt, January, 1871; Bernard, February, 1874; Elizabeth, August, 1876; Mary, April, 1879.
