published by the Western Historical Co.: 1879.

ALLEXANDER MCPHERSON, farmer, Sec. 27; P. O. Raymond; was born in
Scotland in 1805; emigrated to Wisconsin in 1844, and located in
Raymond. He married, in 1832, Miss Helen Steven; she was born in
Scotland; died March 26, 1878; they had nine children, lost one. Mr.
McPherson is a member of the Congregational Church; since his residence
in Raymond he has served as Town Treasurer for one year and Justice of
Peace for sixteen years. He owns forty acres in Sec. 27.
