ALFRED L. BUCHAN, M. D., physician, Union Grove; born in town of Dover
March 4, 1847 lived on the farm with his father, Edward Buchan, who is
one of the oldest and most respected of the earliest settlers. Alfred
attended college, at Monmouth, Ills., about 1865, and afterward
graduated at Rush Medical College, Chicago, Feb. 1, 1871, practiced
medicine a few years, and then went to Bellevue Medical College, New
York, and graduated March 1, 1877; is a member of State Medical Society;
has a large and growing practice.
