Obituary: Extracted from the Green Bay Press Gazette Sunday edition, April 16, 2000 Ducat, Mrs. Hildegarde G. (Loritz) Mrs. Hildegarde G. (Loritz) Ducat, 84, died April 13, 2000, at St. Vincent Hospital as a result of cancer and pneumonia. Hildegarde Ducat, Nicknamed "Paddy," was born August 20, 1915, to the late August and Mathilda (Liberton) Loritz at 1259 Willow St. in Green Bay now University Ave. Hildegarde loved to read, work on jigsaw puzzles, and puzzle books. She collected stamps, and belonged to the Neville Public Museum Geology Club for a couple of years. Paddy loved to play cards, belonged to several card clubs, loved to dance, especially Polkas, and had many other interests. She also loved children very much. Hildegarde was employed by H.C. Prange for 31 years until retireing in 1982 at the age of 66 years old. She was the Addresssograph operator for many years and did office work as well as work in the cash office and in the buyer's offices. Hildegarde began as an elevator operator. Our family doctor, Dr. Alvin Brusky suggested to her that she should get a part-time job for about three months but she stayed for 31 years. At the company parties they used to kid her about the girl who came to work for 3 months and stayed 31 years. She is survived by her son, James R. Ducat who lived at home with her for 65 years together. She was preceded in death by her ex-husband, and her brother, Gerald G. Loritz who died in 1981. Friends may call at Proko Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St. from 1 to 8 pm sunday. Monday 9 to 8 pm at the funeral home and after 9am Tuesday at th funeral home until the funeral cortege leaves for church. Mass of Christian Burial 11 am Tuesday at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 2040 Hillside Ln. with the Rev. David Pleier officiating. Burial in Allouez Catholic Cemetery.
