HERMSEN Note: Died April 10, 1927 in Greenleaf, Brown County, WI Frank S. Hermsen, up to last July a resident of De Pere, died in his home in Greenleaf, on Friday, April 8. The funeral was held on Tuesday morning from St. Francis's church, De Pere, Rev. Father Dillon officiating. Interment was in Allouez Catholic cemetery. The pallbearers were all nephews of the decedent, Henry Borman, Roland Borman, Alton Borman, Walter Hermsen, Richard Vanden Branden, Louis Hermsen. Surviving are the widow (who was Miss Emily Borman before her marriage), and three children, Florence 19, Hazel 15, and Arleen 13. He is also mourned by four brothers and three sisters, namely, Henry Hermsen, Green Bay; William of Rice Lake; John of De Pere and Chris of Oconto; and Mrs. Anna Smet of Oconto, formerly of De Pere; Mrs. Jule Vanden Branden, Green Bay, and Mrs. Charles Boehm, Ashland. Frank Hermsen was born in De Pere, May 9, 1882, and was nearly 45 years of age at the time of his death. He was ailing for a long time with rheumatism but other complications set in about four weeks ago and he failed rapidly from that time until his death. He was will known among a large circle of friends. After he quit business in this city he moved to Greenleaf. Large numbers of friends from De Pere and other parts of the county called at his home in Greenleaf to express condolences to the sorrowing family. Gross, Mr. And Mrs. Jim Coffeen, Mr. And Mrs. Walter Hermsen, Mr. And Mrs. Alfred Vanden Branden, Richard Vanden Branden, Mr. And Mrs. Frank Hermsen, Green Bay; Mr. And Mrs. Mike Janssen, Kimberly; John Janssen, Kenosha; Chris Vanden Branden, Menasha; Mrs. Anna Smet and Chris Hermsen, Oconto.
