Ambrose Hummel Passes Away at Local Hospital After Long Illness. Funeral Services to be held tomorrow at 10 o'clock from the Cathedral -- Resided in the City for about 45 years. Ambrose Hummel, an old resident of this city, died last evening at 5 o'clock in one of the local hospitals after a lingering illness. Mr. Hummel was 74 years old at the time of his death and had lived in this city for the past 45 years. He had been confined at the hospital for a number of years and up to that time had been a trapper and hunter. He also was employed at times by land dealers to locate land being very well acquainted with the surrounding country. The deceased was born in Buffalo, New York. Besides his wife he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Ed. First of Walnut Street and one son, John Hummel of Madison Street. The funeral services will be held tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock from the St. Francis Xavier cathedral and the interment will be made at the Woodlawn Cemetery.
