The son of Louis Pokorny Sr. and the late Caroline Pokorny was born in North Dakota. He was a veteran of World War II and married Josephine Vincent 35 years ago. Mr. Pokorny was employed at Betten Processing Co. for the past six years. He is survived by his wife; five sons, George Jr., Rt. 2, West De Pere; David, Green Bay; Ralph and Paul, both of Appleton; John, at home; six daughters, Mrs. Leonard (Virginia) Coppersmith, West De Pere, Mrs. Arthur (Theresa) Johnson, Ashwaubenon; Mrs. Roger (Caroline) Coppersmith, Green Bay; Mrs. Manuel (Elaine) Harn, Junction City; Kathleen and Connie, both at home; 24 grandchildren; his father, Louis Sr., Green Bay; four brothers, James, Louis Jr., and Ben, all of Green Bay; John, Chicago, Ill.; one sister, Mrs. Francis (Mildred) Smith, Green Bay. In state at Malcore Funeral Home after 2 p.m. Friday, Prayer service 8 p.m. Friday, Funeral 11 a.m. Saturday, SS. Peter and Paul Church with the Rev. Earl Schuh officiating.
