" Green Bay Press-Gazette, Tuesday June 22, 1999 William J. Ruben, 70, Green Bay, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family, on Monday, June 21, 1999. He was born on Sept. 23, 1928 to the late William and Mildred (Ruthioux {should have been spelled Routhieaux}) Ruben in Green Bay. He served in the US Navy. Bill married the former Mary Ann DeNamur on June 30, 959, in Florida. He worked for the Northern Paper Co. for 11 years before becoming a self-employed painter. Bill loved to golf. He shot a hole in one on hole #4 at Woodside golf course. Bill also enjoyed playing the guitar, billiards and listening to Frank Sinatra. Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann and their three children, William Matthew; Jon Andrew and special friend Claire and her son Tony; and Amy L., all of Green Bay; two children from a previous marriage, Judy and Christine; five sisters, La Verne (Robert) Boucher, Doris Barrett, Elaine (Jim) Conrad, Joyce (Bernie) Jones, Glroia (Bill) Cormier; one brother, James Ruben, all of Green Bay. Preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers-in-law, Robert Oettinger and Kenneth Barett. Friends may call at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St., from 3 to 8 pm Wednesday. Funeral Service 8 pm Wednesday at the funeral home with Msgr. Roy Klister officiating. Entombment in Allouez Chapel and Mausoleum.
