FREDERICK EIGENMANN was born in Flehingen, Baden, Germany, in 1870. He attended the common schools there, and later a theological seminary in Neuendettelsau, Bavaria, where he studied for the ministry. In 1894 he came to Dubuque, Iowa, where he studied one year.
