He came to Mazomanie in 1860 and bought a large amount of land which later was known as the "Stock Farm." His wife died June 4, 1874, and he died at Ottawa, Kan., January 26, 1897. The children living in 1897 were: Franklin T., in Crookston, Minn.; Harriet E. Delano, in Ottawa, Kan.; Henrietta Boardman, in Centralia, Kan.; Annette H. Wheelock, Minneapolis, Minn..; Ella L.
