Belle (Isabelle) Christina Engen was born September 7, 1886 at Dane, Wisconsin 
to Christian Syversen Engen and Ragnhild Eriksdatter Hustad. 

Belle married Gerhard Bennett Fjelstad on February 9, 1910 at Primrose 
Lutheran, Dane, WI. 

The couple had 4 sons:
Clifford Glen (born November 20, 1910 Perry, WI, died August 23, 1986 Madison, 
Dane, WI;
Grant Russell (born February 8, 1912 Perry, WI, died October 1, 1962 New 
Glarus, Green, WI;
Ervin (Irving) Floyd (born August 5, 1914 Perry, WI, died April 9, 1939) and
Kenneth Silas (born October 11, 1916 Perry, WI, died April 7, 1997 Orange, 
Florida. 

Belle died February 27, 1980 at Mount Horeb, Dane, Wisconsin and was buried at 
the Primrose East Lutheran Cemetery, Mt Horeb, Wisconsin.

Found in the 1910 census living at Primrose, Dane, Wisconsin: Bennie G 
Fjelstad 26, Belle C Fjelstad 23. 
Found in the 1920-1940 censuses at Perry, Dane, Wisconsin: 
1920: Ben G Fjelstad 36, Belle C Fjelstad 33, Clifford G Fjelstad 9, Grant R 
Fjelstad 7, Ervan F Fjelstad 5, Kenneth S Fjelstad 3 3/12.  
1930: Benjamin G Fjelstad 46, Belle C Fjelstad 43, Clifford G Fjelstad 19, 
Grant R Fjelstad 18, Irving F Fjelstad 15, Kennet S Fjelstad 13. 
1940: Ben Fjelstad 56, Isbelle Fjelstad 53, Russell Fjelstad 28.
