Obituary: Dane County, Wisconsin: Elizabeth HAIGHT ************************************************************************ Submitted by Ruth Ann Montgomery, April 2008 © All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************************************ Mrs. Elizabeth Haight died at her home near Koshkonong Station Friday evening, of paralysis, aged 76. She settled here with her husband, John F. Haight, about fifty years ago. The homestead is beautifully located on Lake Koshkonong and contains many curious mounds of prehistoric origin. The Fun Hunters, a well-known sportsmen's club of Whitewater, have encamped every June on the Haight shore of the lake, for years. The family are widely noted for their generosity and hospitality. There are five children living, two of whom are married. The father died about thirty-six years ago. The funeral services took place at the house Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock, the Rev. Dr. Wheeler, the Methodist clergyman conducting them. June 17, 1890, Evansville Review, p. 4, Evansville, Wisconsin reprinted from the Wisconsin Tobacco Recorder,
