Obituary: Dane County, Wisconsin: George JOHNSON ************************************************************************ Submitted by Ruth Ann Montgomery, April 2008 © All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************************************ Geo. Johnson, Brooklyn, dies very suddenly The community was greatly shocked Sunday morning when the news was spread that George Johnson, living two miles east of town, had died very suddenly the night before. He went to bed in his usual good health, when during the night his wife was awakened by his making a peculiar choking noise and before help could be summoned he had passed away. He leaves a wife and one small child, and is the last member of the Johnson family, the two sisters and father and mother preceding him in death. The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon, Rev. Beavin officiating and burial at Rutland. Misses Doris and Dorothy White furnished music. -- Oregon Observer. August 12, 1920, Evansville Review, p. 1, col. 2, Evansville, Wisconsin
