F. O'Brien Ella Crahen was born on a farm near Oregon, June 26, 1872. She died in Brooklyn at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Wilma Mason, March 26, 1928. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Crahen. She was married to C. F. O'Brien November 18, 1892, and to this union were born two sons and a daughter, Lyle of Dallas, Texas, Otis of Ponce, Porto Rico, and Mrs. Wilma Mason of Brooklyn. Besides her husband and children she leaves to mourn her loss her four sisters, Miss Anna Crahen, of Madison, Mrs. Peter Flood of Albany, Miss Mary and Maggie Crahen of Brooklyn, three brothers, Andrew and Joe of Brooklyn and Frank of Bloomfield, Nebraska, three grandchildren, Shirley, Rex and Rona Mason. Two brothers, Wm. and James, preceeded her in death. She has always lived near or in Brooklyn where she leaves a host of friends who will miss her greatly. She was a devout Catholic and a great lover of children. She was a member of the Catholic church, the Catholic Ladies Aid and the American Legion Auxiliary (both her sons having been in service during the World War.) Funeral services will be held Friday from the Catholic church at Oregon, Rev. Fr. Mahoney officiating. Interment will be at the Catholic cemetery at Oregon.
