Obit is from the Edgerton Reporter, Edgerton, Rock Co., WI.,
Thurs. 12 Aug 1954:

PENUEL C. BROWN

Penuel C. Brown, 70, Rte 3, Edgerton, a farmer in this area
for most of his life, died Wednesday in Memorial hospital. He
was born in Edgerton, Nov, 27, 1883 and was married to the
fromer Ellen Barber, Sept. 10, 1914. He was a 1905 graduate of
the local high school. Surviving are his wife, two sons,
Penuel Jr., of Rte 3 and Charles W., Schleuter Road, Madison;
a daughter, Mrs. Paul Zimmer, Amboy, Ill; and nine
grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday
in the Ruben Tellefson Funeral Home, the Rev. Alban Tippins
officiating. Burial was in the Albion Prairie Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Herbert Richardson Clarence Iverson, Herbert
Hein, Melvin Bratland, Dale West and Elmer Crandall. Mrs.
Herbert Richardson, Mrs. Florence Walker and Mrs. Melvin
Bratland were in charge of the flowers.
