Married John Graham CLARK in 1846 in Peniston Church, England. Dau of HOBSON MRS. HARRIET CLARK Mrs. Harriet Clark, an old resident of Albion Prairie, passed away in death at the home of her daughter, Mrs. H. Croft in Edgerton Friday, March 2d, 1900. She was born July 4th, 1825, at Duredale, Yorkshire, England, near Hudersfield. She was the tenth child and the oldest daughter in a family of thirteen children born to Mr. and Mrs. John Hobsen. At the age of 21, in the year 1846, she gave her hand in marriage to John G. Clark at Peniston church, England. Two years later, Aug. 12th, they came to America and settled on Albion Prairie, where they lived the remainder of their days. Mr. Clark was called by the anfel of death April 30th, 1880, leaving a patient and affectionate wife with seven children to mourn his loss. During her years of widowhood she was known by all to be a kind and patient Christian and passed away with the smile of her Maker resting upon her. A short funeral service was held at her daughter's, Mrs. Croft in Edgerton. From there the remains were taken to the old homestead at Albion Prairie, where another short service was held with song and prayer and an address by J.R. Lindsley. The abundance of flowers which covered the coffin, in part expressed the love cherished in the hearts of children and friends for a kind neighbor and a loving and loved mother. She was laid to rest by the side of her husband in Albion Prairie cemetery.
