CROFT on 01 Oct 1873 Aged 80 yrs 3 mos 23 dys Obit is from the Wisconsin Tobacco Reporter, Edgerton, Rock Co., Wi., Thur. 14 Jul 1932: MRS. HANNAH CROFT Mrs. Hannah Croft, 80, was born on Albion Prairie, March 15, 1852, and was the daughter of John G. and Harriette Clark. She attended the district school and was a member of the Primitive Methodist Church, Albion Prairie. On October 1, 1873, she was married to George A. Croft and to this union were born five children, one daughter, dying in infancy, and a son, Arthur Newton Croft, died January 12, 1924, aged 38 years, Mrs. Dora Shannon, Portage, George H. Croft, whose whereabouts are unknown, but believed to be alive and Miss Mildred Croft, Chicago. Mrs. Croft had ben in poor health since the early part of the current year and failed in health rapidly the past two months and passed away at her home on Friday morning, July 8th at five o'clock. With the exception of a few years passed at Lancaster, Wisconsin, Mrs. Croft made her home in this city, and vicinity her entire life. She was a devoted wife and a loving mother, had a kindly disposition and was loved by her neighbors and friends. Surviving relatives besides those named above, are her sister, Mrs. Matilda Howarth, Janesville, five grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held on Sunday, July 10th, at the home, followed with burial in the Albion Prairie Cemetery. The pallbearers were six nephews of the deceased, John G. Craig, Stoughton, Chester Pierce, Edgerton, Morton Pierce, Busseyville, James Clark, Milton, Arthur Howarth, J'anesville, and John Clark, Edgerton.
