Wi.
Obit is from the Wisconsin Tobacco Reporter, Edgerton, Rock
Co,. Wi., Thur. 17 Nov 1966:
MRS. MURIEL HELGESTAD: Mrs. Muriel Helgestad, 46, a former
Edgerton resident, died Monday morning, Nov. 14, 1966, in St.
Anthony Hospital, Rockford, after a long illness. She had
lived in Rockford for the past eight years. The former Muriel
North was born Nov. 25, 1919, in Edgerton, the daughter of
Charles and Bonnibel Slagg North, and was a graduate of
Edgerton High school. SHe was married June 25, 1939, in
Edgerton to John Helgestad. Surviving are five daughters, Mrs.
David Showers, Whitewater, Mrs. Jerrold Hayes, Delavan, Mrs.
Roy Gudeon, Mrs. David McKaig, and Jaqueline, all of Edgerton;
a son John, Edgerton; seven grandchildren; two brothers, James
North, of Edgerton, and Ronald North, Janesville; three
sisters, Mrs. Milo Lein and Mrs. Arthur Johnson, both of
Cambridge, and Mrs. Gordon Schieldt, Stoughton. Private
services were held at the Tellefson-Bruni Funeral Home, the
Rev. Alban Tippins officiating. Burial was in ALbion Prairie
cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Charles North, David
Shower, David McKaig, Roy Gudgeon, Thomas Johnson and Duane
Lein.
