MOYER, Clarence LeRoy 03 Jun 1926- 15 Aug 2003 Married 02 Jun 1979 Moyer, Clarence L. JANESVILLE - Clarence L. Moyer, age 77, of Janesville, died at Mercy Hospital Friday, Aug. 15, 2003. Clarence was born in Asheville, N.C. on June 3, 1926, the son of LeRoy and Rhoda Moyer. He served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Clarence married Nancee Garthwaite June 2, 1979. He was employed as a heavy equipment operator and truck driver through Local No. 139, operating engineers, and worked for several construction companies in the Madison area and for the 12 years prior to his retirement in the Janesville area. Clarence was a member of American Legion Post No. 205. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren and using his John Deere lawnmower on his and his neighbors' lawns. Clarence is survived by his wife, Nancee Moyer, Janesville; four children, Kelly (Robert) Anthony, Black Earth, Harold (Lori) Hanson, Merrill, Debra Hanson, Evansville, and Richard (Rachel) Hanson, Janesville; six grandchildren, Jameson and Shayna Hanson, Tamryn Ring, Blake Austin, and Haley and Thomas Hanson; three sisters, Clara Doris Olson, Mount Horeb, Esther LeGrey, Madison, and Garnetta Meives, Barneveld; many nieces and nephews; and a special army friend, Daniel Sapp, Oklahoma City, Okla. Clarence's parents preceded him in death. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m., Monday, Aug. 18, 2003, a HENKE-CLARSON FUNERAL HOME, 1010 N. Wright Road, Janesville, with the Rev. Dr. Doug Dowling officiating. Interment with military rites by Kienow-Hilt V.F.W. Post No. 1621 will be in Albion Prairie Cemetery.
