Name: Daniel And Katherine PIERCE Photo can be seen at: Image file size: 35.8 Kb PIERCE, Daniel and Katherine PIERCE, Daniel 11 Jan 1793- 11 Feb 1861 Born in Washington Co., R.I. Aged 68 yrs 1 mo. Married in Aug 1826 "The Sabbath Recorder", March 1861. At his residence near Albion, Wisconsin (Dane County), 11 February 1861, of inflammation of the liver, Daniel Pierce, aged 68 years and 1 month. Brother Pierce was born in Hopkinton, Rhode Island, embraced the gospel and Sabbath in his 19th year, and united with the First Seventh Day Baptist Church at Hopkinton; removed to Alfred, New York, in 1816, and became one of the active members in that wilderness church. In 1838, he removed to Fulton County, Illinois, where he remained until in 1853, he settled in Wisconsin, where he remained until called to enjoy the rest of those who die in the Lord. Few among us, in private life, where more extensively known throughout our denomination, and very few more universally loved. His benevolence lead him often to discommode himself more than the value of the kindness to those upon whom it was conferred.
