Nee AMUNDSON Married (17/27) Feb 1910 Obit is from the Edgerton Reporter, Edgerton, Rock Co., Wi. Thur. 12 Mar 1959: MRS. CARRIE PIERCE Mrs. Carrie Pierce, 67, died in St. Claire Hospital, Monroe, Saturday afternoon after a long illness. The former Carrie Amundson was born in Jefferson County April 2, 1891. She was married to Morton Pierce Feb. 27, 1910. THey had farmed in Busseyville until he died in 1951. Survivors are two sons, Stanley and Donald, Busseyville; four daughters, Mrs. Maxine Menke, Fort Atkinson, June Bright, Janesville, Jean Bleiler, Fort Atkinson, and Betty Haylock, Edgerton; two brothers, Abel Amundson of Edgerton, and Oscar Amundson, Deerfield; four sisters, Mrs. Oscar Pederson, Edgerton, Mrs. Anna Knouse, Madison, Mrs. Oscar Loftus, Ofordville, and Mrs. Emma Collins, Edgerton. Services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Ruben-Tellefson Funeral Home, the Rev. Alban Tippins, Busseyville, officiating. Burial was in the Albion Prairie cemetery. Pallbearers were Bud Hill, Lyle Ogden, Weston Dalby, Warren Tall, James Ogden and Curtis Pierce. The song service was given by Carroll Treiloff, accompanied by Mrs. Rolland Tellefson. PIERCE, Morton John 14 Oct 1888- 08 Dec 1951 Son of Thomas William and Clara Clarinda(CLARKE) PIERCE Married (17/27) Feb 1910 The Wisconsin Tobacco Reporter, Edgerton, Rock CO., WI., THurs. 13 Dec 1951: MORTON PIERCE Morton Pierce, 63, route 3, Fort Atkinson, died Saturday. He resided on a farm near Busseyville. MR. Pierce was born Oct. 14, 1888, in the town of Sumner, Jefferson County. On Fev 17, 1910, he was married to Carrie Amundson. Surviving are his wife; two sons, Stanley and Donald, Edgerton; four daughters, Mrs. Gerhardt Menke and Mrs. Lylr Bheiler, both of Fort Atkinson, and Mrs. Donald Bright and Betty, at home.; six grandchildren; a brother Chester, Fort Atkinson; and a sister, Mrs. Able Amundson, Albion Prairie. Services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Ruben-Tellefson funeral home, the Rev. ALban Tippins of the Busseyville Community Church, officiated. Burial was in the Albion Prairie cemetery.
