MARY ELLEN PIERCE

Funeral services for little five year old Mary Ellen Pierce
were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Busseyville Church, with
the Rev. Alban Tippins officiating. Burial was in the Albion
Prairie Cemetery. Pallbearers were James Ogden Jr., James
Welsh, Donald Radloff and Richard Lokken. Orrin Kaare gave the
song service with Mrs. Donald Oakwood as organist. Mary Ellen,
the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Pierce, Busseyville, was
the victim of cancer diagnosed by her doctor October 31rst.
Due to the rapid spread of the disease, Mary Ellen had her
Christmas celebration last week, 2 1/2 weeks before Santa's
normally schedualed visit. Her two Christmas wishes, a pony
and a piano, were realized and neighbors added many other
gifts during her brief illness. Mary Ellen was born July 21,
1951. She is survived bu her parents; a sister, Karen; a
grandmother, Mrs. Carry Pierce, Busseyville; and a
grandfather, Christ Lund, Rockford, Ill.
