John's obit says they married on the 21rst. Obit says born in 1858 Mother Obit is from the Jefferson County Union, Fort Atkinson, Jefferson Co., Wi. 17 Aug 1934: MRS. JOSEPH SLAGG Mrs. Joseph H. Slagg, 76, died in her home, 600 Whitewater avenue, at 9:30 p.m. Saturday. She had been ill for several weeks. Mrs. Slagg, formerly Miss Maria Slater, Was born at Albion Prairie Oct. 26, 1858, and was married to Mr. Slagg Dec. 22, 1886. They lived on the Slagg farm in Koshkonong for 37 years, coming to this city to make their home ten years ago. She was a member of the Methodist Church and of Circle 3 of the Volunteers. Survivirs are her husband, one son Milo, Houghton, Mich., and one daughter, Miss Venice Slagg, of Madison schools faculty. One son, Rodney, died three years ago. Two sisters, Mrs. Chester Kester, Manila, IA., and Mrs. J.N. Van Meter, Alhambra, Calif., also survive. The funeral was held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the home and at 2 p.m. in the Methodist Church. The Rev. Douglas O. Anderson officiated and burial was in the Albion Prairie cemetery.
