WOOD on 28 Mar 1958 Slagg, Lowell "Peanut" April 28, 1930 - June 5, 2004 (Published Monday June 07, 2004) EDGERTON? Lowell "Peanut" Slagg, age 74, of Edgerton, WI, passed away Saturday, June 5, 2004, at the Don and Marilyn Anderson Hospice Care Center, Madison. He was born on April 28, 1930, in Edgerton, son of the late Stanley and Helen (Schumacher) Slagg. Lowell was united in marriage on March 28, 1958, to Gloria Wood in Beloit. He was a 1948 graduate of Edgerton High School and a 1952 graduate of Milton College. He attended the Univ. of Chicago Law School. Lowell owned and operated an insurance company in Janesville for many years. He enjoyed boating, car races, discussing politics, and was a member of Ducks Unlimited, Edgerton Lions Club, the Rock River Koshkonong Association and the V.F.W. Post # 2708. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Gloria of Edgerton; 2 sisters, Janice (Roger) Martin of Stoughton and Candace (Dale) Wilke, of Edgerton; 2 brothers, Stanly Dunbar "Don" Slagg of Overland Park, KS, and Bruce (Nancy) Slagg of Park Ridge, IL. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jon. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, June 10, 2004, at the United Church of Christ, Congregational Church , Edgerton, with the Rev. George Calhoun officiating. Burial will be in the Albion Prairie Cemetery, Edgerton. Friends may call at the church on Thursday, June 10, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the services. Full military services will be held by the Memorial Squad of Edgerton at the Cemetery. The family requests there be no flowers.
