Obit is from the Wisconsin State Journal, Madison, Dane Co., WI. Wed. 11 Mar 1936: WILMER SLAGG, 69, DIES AT EDGERTON Edgerton- Wilmer A. Slagg, 69, a native of Dane County and a former member of the famous Albion Prarie Band that used to accompany the late Sen. Robert LaFollette, Sr., on his campaign tours, died tuesday at his home here. He was the father of Mayor Stanley Slagg, a former Assemblyman. Besides the son, he is survived by the widow, and a daughter, Genevieve, a student at the University of Wisconsin. Mr. Slagg was born in Albion township. After marrying Mary Dunbar, Silverwood, they operated a farm at Albion Prairie. In 1928 they moved here. At various times Mr. Slagg was treasurer of the Albion Praire school district No. 5 and director, treasurer and president of the Hillside Cooperative Creamery Co.
