Married Isaac DICKINSON on 03 Mar 1874 in Albion, Dane Co., Wi. Married James SPIKE on 11 May 1904 Obit is from the Wisconsin Tobacco Reporter, Edgerton, Rock Co., Wi. Fri 04 May 1923: MRS. PRISCILLA SPIKE Mrs. Priscilla Spike was born on the 6th day of May in the year 1852. SHe was the daughter if James and Esther Wileman who lived on Albion Priaire. Her childhood years were lived in this Christian home for her parents like many of the early residents of the Prairie community were people of sturdy Christian faith and her father was a local elder in the Primitive Methodist church and at one time preached in that church. On March 3rd, 1874, she was united in marriage to Isaac Dickinson and for many years they lived on the farm in the community her life had been spent. Because of Mr. Dickinson's failing health it finally became necessary for him to retire and in 1899 they moved to Edgerton. Mr. Dickinson died May 29th, 1900. On May 11th, 1904, she was united in marriage to James Spike, living with him until his death in May of 1909. Mrs. Priscilla Spike had two sisters and three brothers, of which James Wileman of Albion, Henry Wileman of Chicago and Mrs. Fred Mabson of this city survive. Mrs. Spike had been in failing health for some time but her serious illness was of brief duration, the end coming on the evening of April 25th, 1923. She was a member of the Primitive Methodist church for many years, but upon her removal to the city she became a member of the local Methodist Episcopal church. Mrs. Priscilla Spike will be missed by all who knew her. She was a kindly sypmthathetic friend to all who were in trouble. Not only did she testify to the saving grace of Christ when opportunity was given but her life was a living testimony borne to all about her in word and deed. She excelled in the art of living well by the cheering word, the sympathetic smile and tear and by the geneorus benevolance that characturized her life we believe that by the door of death she entered into life and the enjoyment of the treasure laid up in Heaven where moth and rest cannot corrupt nor thieves break thru and steal. Pastor's address. Funeral services at the M.E. church on Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock were largely attended. Rev. R.J. Bailey officiating. Interment was made in Albion Prairie cemetery.
