Sec 34, Lot MAUS-N402D-9 AASEN, Ellen A. 19 Jul 1907- 23 Oct 2006 Aasen, Ellen A. Madison - Ellen A. Aasen, nee Webster, passed away on Monday, Oct, 23, 2006, at Meriter Health Care Center. She was born in the Town of Almond, Portage County, to Agnes and Preston Webster. Ellen attended school in Stevens Point and graduated from Central State Teachers College (now UW- Stevens Point) with a Bachelor of Education degree in Home Economics. She taught school in Sturgeon Bay and then returned to Madison to attend graduate school in social work. Ellen worked for the Dane County Department of Social Services, the City of Madison Social Services and the Madison Public Schools, where she was employed for 25 years. Ellen is the last surviving member of her generation. Her first husband, Harold Brandenhoff died in 1935 and her second husband, Sylvester "Danny" Aasen died on Feb. 6, 1996. Ellen is survived by several nieces and nephews. A family memorial service will be scheduled at a later time.
