Garland, Richard "Dick" Kuether MADISON - Richard "Dick"
Kuether Garland, age 76, passed away peacefully on Sunday,
June 11, 2006, at HospiceCare, while surrounded by his family.
Dick's most precious possession was his loving wife of 55
years, his children and grandchildren. He had a rich and
fulfilling life with many friends and family. He enjoyed
camping, hunting, fishing and his cabin up north. He was a CPA
and worked at Arthur Young after graduation from UW-Madison.
He worked for Marshall Erdman and Associates for 30 years in
management. He is survived by his wife, Bette; four children:
Debbie (Mike) Polster, Leslie (Alan) Miller, Keith (Deanna)
Garland and Alyson (Randy) Schaefer; eight grandchildren,
Taryn, Kayla, Payton, Justin, Christopher, Steven, Samantha
and Ben; his sister-in-law, Peg Meissner; brother, Dr. Thomas
(Connie) Garland; sister, Judy (Bob) Zywicki; many loving
nieces and nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by
his parents; and sister, Patricia. Funeral service will be
held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 15, 2006, at GOOD SHEPHERD
LUTHERAN CHURCH, 5701 Raymond Road, Madison, with a visitation
one hour prior to service. A visitation will also be held from
4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 14, 2006, at CRESS FUNERAL
HOME, 3610 Speedway Road, Madison. In lieu of flowers,
memorials may be made in Dick's memory to Alzheimer's
Association, HospiceCare Inc., Good Shepherd Lutheran Church
